An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Service Manager (CSM) to join and work alongside our growing Clinical Executive Leadership Team.

Overview:

This role is a full time position (40 hrs/week) where you would work directly with the Clinical Director, other CSMs, Operational and Business Leads and CQC Managers to ensure each UK region is running effectively, performing-well clinically, fully abiding by CQC guidelines.

You would be integral in guiding, supporting and leading the Regional Nurse Managers, whilst acting as the first point of contact for the Clinical Director. This role would also involve generating leads by working closely with Integrated Care Boards (ICB) and case managers, whilst developing strong relationships with new local authorities, case management companies and ICBs.

The successful individual will provide overall clinical leadership with a patient outcome and staff satisfaction focus. You will work alongside our management teams to support the delivery of clinical services, clinical service development and quality improvement.

This post will be based in Fareham office and requires extensive travel to all regions where HASCS operates. (Full job description can be provided upon request)

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintaining the operational and clinical safety and compliance in set geographical areas.

· To manage, lead and support Regional Nurse managers and Field Team Leaders

· Provide mentorship & support clinical managers with the day to day running of their services and cover their roles in their absence; providing overall clinical leadership with a patient outcome and staff satisfaction focus

· Provide supervision to the clinical teams to ensure effective delivery of complex care.

· Conduct Performance review process and 121’s with their direct reports aligning to company strategy.

  • To lead a culture of inquiry and learning from any adverse events, to ensure that staff are practicing safely as new information is available

· Coordinate with teams to ensure that all patient care plan, risk assessments and any required patient records are updated; and reviews are completed in a timely manner.

· Support, work closely with Rapid Response Teams and take part with mobilisation of new care packages as dictated by the need of the business

· Communicate with the wider Clinical Lead team and identify new and improved ways of working to ensure HASCS care provision is always optimum quality.

· Provide or source up to date training for the teams.

· To support the Clinical Director and COO in business development and service improvements.

· To work alongside the Senior Clinical Managament Team & CQC Managers on Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance - working closely with the Business & Operational Leads.

· Accountable for the overall management and operation of clinical services and the leadership and development of clinical teams within their geographical caseloads.

· Provide oversight of care quality within the company, hold clinical accountability for delivery of safe and effective care and ensure proactive, hands-on approach and ‘can do’ attitude in the pursuit to achieving clinical excellence within the business

· Champions a patient-centred approach, ensuring services are well positioned to place patient choice, safety and staff wellbeing at the forefront of developments

· Lead problem solving and resolution efforts to include management of risk, contingencies and issues. Develop proactive contingency plans to mitigate clinical risk.

  • As Clinical lead, participate in and manage the On Call for the Specialist Services teams

  • Understand the importance of ensuring all our patients are safe from harm and are committed to following guidelines on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and good working practices, including the safe recruitment of workers.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin (Complex care/Critical Care/Management experience is a essential)

  • Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written

  • Ability to travel within allocated geographical regions

  • Flexibility, reliability & commitment

  • Car owner with full UK driving license

  • Previous management experience working within health and social care setting for at least 2 years

  • Excellent communication skills including verbal and written

  • Computer literate with MS Office suite of applications

Salary:

  • £50,000 – on appointment

  • £52,000 – post probationary period

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
