The theme “Malayo Na Pero Malayo Pa” celebrates the journey of every OFW — the distance they’ve traveled, the dreams they’ve achieved, and the sacrifices that continue to fuel their pursuit of a better life.
Through this contest, we want to see your story of distance, perseverance, and hope — told through a single powerful photo.

👤 Who Can Join

Open to all Filipinos who are based in the UK, may it be dependant, engineer, lawyer, butcher, chef, teacher, musician, influencer, support worker and all others who have access to phone or camera.

Participants must be 18 years old and above.

Only one (1) entry per participant is allowed.
📷 How to Join

Take or select an original photo that captures the theme “Malayo Na Pero Malayo Pa.”

Write a short caption or story (max 600 words) explaining the photo’s meaning and how it represents your journey as an OFW.

Submit your entry via email to 📩 info@filipinouknurses.com

Send a Google Drive link containing your photo file if it is too large otherwise just attach it to the email normally

Include your full name and contact details.

Follow the Manong George Facebook page for updates.

The Best 7 entries will be featured on Manong George and Filipino UK Photographers pages on November 23, 2025.

To ensure quality and consistency, please follow these technical requirements:

File Format: JPEG or PNG

Portrait or Landscape accepted

File Size: Up to 20 MB (use Google Drive for larger files) otherwise just attached it to your email

File Name Format: Lastname_Firstname_Title.jpg

Equipment: Any camera — DSLR, mirrorless, or mobile phone

Editing: Basic adjustments (exposure, contrast, crop, color correction) are allowed.

No heavy manipulation, composites, AI-generated content, or watermarks.
⚙ Important Guidelines

Photo must be original and taken by the participant (within the last 12 months).

Only one (1) entry per participant.

No watermarks, frames, borders, or text overlays.

Entries containing offensive, plagiarized, or privacy-violating content will be disqualified.

By submitting, participants grant Filipino UK Photographers and Manong George the non-exclusive right to use submitted photos for promotional and exhibition purposes, with full credit to the photographer.
